I booked two safari tours with Toto Tembo Safaris. During the first tour to Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, and Lake Nakuru, a few challenges arose related to seating, the vehicle, the guide, and meals, which made the experience feel unpleasant at times.
I reached out to my contact persons, Emmilia and Esther, who proved to be highly committed, professional, friendly, and always available—even during game drives. Issues were addressed promptly, which is especially important when traveling in a foreign country on safari.
Special requests such as my vegetarian meal preferences were taken seriously and handled with care, with genuine effort made to accommodate them as best as possible.

Our driver and guide in Amboseli were consistently kind and professional, adding great value to the experience. The Serena Lodge in Amboseli was comfortable and well located, though it shows its age and would benefit from renovation.

Our recent safari adventure with Toto Tembo Safari was truly exceptional. Over the course of our journey, we explored the diverse and stunning landscapes of Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli National Park. Each destination offered its own unique charm, and we were fortunate to witness all the Big Five, fulfilling a lifelong dream for any wildlife enthusiast.
Despite the long drives and rugged terrain, the experience was invigorating rather than exhausting. The natural beauty and abundance of wildlife kept us captivated throughout, making every moment on the road worthwhile.
Our guide, Dennis, played a pivotal role in making this trip so memorable. His extensive knowledge of the region, keen eye for wildlife, and commitment to safety were deeply appreciated. Dennis consistently went above and beyond to tailor the experience to our interests.

What an excellent experience, we got to see the big five and many more animals multiple times on a six night Safari. From initially booking to the last farewell communication was excellent. The accommodation, food and transportation met and exceeded our expectations. What made the trip even better was the guide/driver “Denis”. He provided the best experience possible, nothing was too much trouble and we felt really safe at all times. I really can’t recommend this company enough. They are passionate about delivering the best Safari experience. Our group of 8, from UK, India, Singapore and Malaysia all had the most memorable time. My only comment/ feedback is we should have made the trip twice as long and enjoyed taking breaks between Safari locations, to really relax and enjoy the facilities at the accommodation

– Dennis, our driver guide, arrived on time and was our partner in eveyrthing.
– The conditions of lodge and jeep were great, just a shame on day 1 was not possible do a game drive in the afternoon.
To summarize, you can be confortable in make a reservation with toto tembo, because they will make a real effort to make your safari a dream come true and a wonderful experience.

Toto Tembo provided a personalized service curated specially for me and my family. From the moment we were picked up we felt safe and special with our dedicated driver/guide Dennis who was with us for the whole 7 days. Dennis is the best and knew every hot spot in the parks and everyone in all the Hotels we visited. From Amboseli, to Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and finally the great Maasai Mara. Esther, with whom I communicated to make all the arrangements, was meticulous in communication, clarity and advice on what we should do. We had a private vehicle so the experience was personal. Vehicle provided was excellent, accommodation etc was not found wanting. Esther and Dennis accomodated all our needs. Value for money? I personally think Toto Tembo gives you the best value with a balance of everything Kenya has to offer. 7 days flew. We wished we could have stayed longer. I was pleased to hear from Esther that Toto Tembo also handles tours to Tanzania and Uganda. We will be visiting next year to cover Tsavo and other areas and maybe extend to Uganda and Tanzania. For sure it will be with the safety, reliability and professionalism of Toto Tembo. Thank you Esther, Emmilia and Dennis for an experience of a lifetime. Very highly recommended.

This trip turned out to be the best one ever for our family. The staff were always supportive and accommodating, even responding to our detailed requests. For example, they were able to arrange a game drive on the first day and a visit to a Maasai village, even though these were not part of the original plan. On the other hand, we did not receive any response from the staff regarding some questions we asked during the trip planning stage. Therefore, we are deducting one star.

Arranged several details in advance including a car seat etc all of which were there as expected. Great communication attention to detail. Efficient organization. Enjoyed staying at Sopa Lodge which had friendly helpful staff and good food on offer. Enjoyed the Masai people who came in the evenings. Drivers were very good, determined to show us as much game as possible. Met terrific people at the Masai village, highly recommend it. Only draw back was the horrible roads in the Mara. I do prefer open vehicles, not the closed ones with pop tops. Not enough fresh air coming in.

Toto Tembo outdid themselves once more. Never disappointed in our recent holiday visit to Watamu. Despite short notice they were able to organize the very best holiday at Turtle bay. We had a blast in 4 days spent. The anniversary package was well thought off and was topped up with icecream treat by the hotel.
